The FBI’s Civil Rights Program is broken down into 3 separate sub-programs: Hate Crimes, Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrance (FACE), and Color of Law.  Color of Law is the focus of this training.  This Color of Law training is conducted in a comprehensive scenario based format that is designed to generate participation and invoke meaningful discussions.  The three (3) hour lesson will cover:

·         FBI’s Civil Rights program, specifically Color of Law;

·         Applicable federal and state statues;

·         What constitutes excessive force, or deprivation of rights; and

·         Protocols for the FBI once a complaint is received (how we work with our local/state/federal partners)

Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of the FBI and the Department of Justice’s role in Color of Law matters, talking points for the community and things to consider as a manager/leader in today’s law enforcement community.
