Color of Law is the focus of this training. This Color of Law training is conducted in a comprehensive scenario based format that is designed to generate participation and invoke meaningful discussions. The three (3) hour lesson will cover: · FBI’s Civil Rights program, specifically Color of Law; · Applicable federal and state statues; · What constitutes excessive force, or deprivation of rights; and · Protocols for the FBI once a complaint is received (how we work with our local/state/federal partners) Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of the FBI and the Department of Justice’s role in Color of Law matters, talking points for the community and things to consider as a manager/leader in today’s law enforcement community.
